Corset lore

Tales of foundation garments keep the WI amused.

A bumper entry of corset limericks written by our literary members raised many laughs, as did Rosemary Jacob's tales of ten years as a corset consultant. Her aim was to make people feel more comfortable, but her clients were not uniform and this brought problems and hilarity along the way. We could all remember Spirella too, making it a common bond.

Everyone was thanked for their work with the fund raising cake stall, and an introduction was made to two fund raising quizzes which are planned, along with a variety of lunches, theatre trips, and visits, to keep us all really busy in the weeks ahead.
