Jack’s Lane

Wind farm planning application is in; comments will close on 15 September.

Update 26 August: At tonight’s meeting of the Community Liaison Group, Stanhoe parish council chair Terry Austin said that the borough council had extended the consultation period by a week, probably to compensate for the fact that there had been a delay in delivering planning documents to the parish councils.

At the moment the council planning website is showing the cutoff date for “standard consultations” as 15 September, and 14 September for “neighbour consultations”.

RES project manager Simon Peltenburg pointed out that these dates may simply represent a statutory consultation period. In most wind farm projects, he said, the planning authorities accept comments for a much longer period.

On 17 August developer RES submitted its planning application for the Jack’s Lane wind farm. The expiry date for comments is 8 September and the target date for a decision is 7 December.
